• The main task of the function is to monitor constantly the quality of products on the market through a quick response system based on collection and analysis of data reporting production and expiration date coming from the points of sale (POS)

• Implementation and updating of an algorithm for the realization of a calculator of the personal Ecological Footprint in Italy: the ecological footprint calculator is based on the behaviours and impacts generated by individuals in their daily actions with conversion factors that define the impact metrics on environment
• The work involved data mining, data entry, classification and harmonization of indexes for different periods as base year and different countries
• Creation of a specific index using ISTAT (Italy’s national statistics institute) public dataset to extrapolate which indicators would have environmental significance and harmonized them with the already existing calculator of Mathis Wackernagel on the mean ecological footprint
• Define the methodology for the average Italian person and calculate the ecological footprint of an individual in the country
• Use of multiple techniques (such as multidimensional assessments of split use of resources) to merge or split indexes
