• Received Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) funding to train as a four-year pediatric
resident (MMED) at KCMC. While here, I coordinated the first Adolescent HIV Clinic, which is still
running to date and funded by EGPAF. KCMC’s teen HIV clinics have expanded to the entire Kilimanjaro
region including seven other district hospitals in northern Tanzania.
• Supervised the provision of mental health and psychosocial support and care for adolescents and youth in
monthly "teen HIV clinic" held on Saturdays to avoid conflict with school-going.
