Overseeing the logistics sub-structure of the Sudan delegation, including all sub-delegations and offices, in one of ICRC’s largest and most complex operational environments. Supporting strategic coordination and ensuring efficient delivery of logistics services across the country.

• Support the Logistics Coordinator in delegation-level responsibilities, including coordination, planning, budget follow-up, reporting, and approvals.
• Supervise logistics operations in sub-sites and field locations, providing technical and operational guidance to ensure continuity and performance.
• Coordinate cross-border supply chains from Chad to West Sudan.
• Lead Collaborative Demand Planning (CDP) meetings.
• Mentor and support logistics staff in the field, promoting consistency, cohesion, and performance across logistics.
• Drive improvements in service quality at site level through regular follow-up, customer feedback, and tailored logistics solutions.

Deployed on a rapid mission to establish ICRC logistics operations in Moldova in response to the Ukraine crisis. Successfully built a logistics setup from the ground up and led immediate crisis response interventions.

• Established a full logistics operation for the newly opened delegation, recruited and trained the logistics team.
• Coordinated large-scale distribution operations, delivering in-kind donations to over 90 localities and supporting over 14,000 refugee host families, while managing a cash voucher program of 4M CHF.
• Designed and led distribution strategy with EcoSec, including GIS mapping, warehouse coordination, and transport contracting.
• Configured the IRIS/JDE system (approvals, access rights, SR creation) to support rapid deployment needs.
• Led field movement coordination, including safe evacuation of vulnerable individuals from Ukraine to Moldova.

Progressed from Storekeeper to Logistician based on performance and leadership, contributing to logistics strategy, systems, and emergency response during multiple crises in Gaza.

• Planned and managed supply chain activities, medical logistics, warehouse operations, and import/export processes.
• Supervised a large logistics team, led recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Conducted regular forecast meetings with program teams and processed MRP messages.
• Designed process maps and coordination charts (Visio, Excel) in line with ICRC logistics standards.
• Served as focal point for the transition from FSS to JDE; trained new users, monitored usage, and coordinated system improvements.
• Maintained strong relationships with customs and authorities, enabling timely entry of goods into Gaza.
• Played a central role in emergency response operations during the 2008, 2012, 2014, and 2021, 2024 Gaza conflicts despite capacity limitations.

Led logistics in Jonglei State, one of South Sudan’s most challenging environments. Oversaw a wide array of logistics functions across multiple sites under extreme weather and access constraints.

• Implemented logistics procedures in alignment with the logistics strategy and ICRC financial rules.
• Managed complex supply chain flows, including procurement, stock management, and transport for medical and relief activities.
• Oversaw planning and execution of over 2,000 tons of cargo delivery via road, air, and river within two months.
• Coordinated demand planning, procurement, and warehouse operations in Bor sub-delegation and the offices and bases within its AoR.
• Supervised transport and fleet activities, and aligned pipelines with Juba logistics.
• Led capacity building for the logistics team.
• Temporarily acted as Head of Office in Akobo and held responsibility for Bor’s sub-delegation security on several occasions.
