Hobbies and Interests

Travelling: I enjoy the adventure and exploration of new places. Getting to see new places and experiencing the different cultures, history, food as well as meeting new people are some of the highlights I enjoy the most when travelling. This has become even more evident for me with my recent travel experiences in New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea.

Chess: I am an avid chess player. Having been a long-term member in the Embrach Chess Club. I always seek to improve my chess skills either through playing online computer matches, friends or with people i meet on my travels. I also enjoying introducing and teaching chess to new players.

Sports: be it either hiking or diving, witnessing nature in all its glory, either on top of mountains, volcanoes, glaciers or under the ocean and seas is one my absolute passions. Be it hiking Mt. Fuji with friends to witness the sunrise, or going hiking by myself in Taroko Gorge Taiwan to heli-hiking the glacier in Franz Josef, New Zealand with a group of strangers, I always look forward to new experiences. This is even more so when diving, where I can appreciate the quietness and calm but simultaneously be surrounded by dozens of fish or go under water cave diving or shipwreck exploring.
