Gerhard Weiss

I was born in Berlin on March 13, 1962, where I attended primary and secondary school. After completing secondary school, I completed an apprenticeship as a butcher, which I successfully completed in 1979. I then worked for three years as a furniture packer for various freight forwarders until I got my truck driver's license in 1984. I then drove for several forwarding companies in international long-distance transport, with 15 years exclusively in the heavy transport sector. In 1994 I emigrated to Switzerland, where I drove long-distance traffic until 1998. In 1999 I did retraining as a technical clerk with a focus on IT. I concentrated on Microsoft, which included both client installation and installing servers with Microsoft OS. From 2000 to 2004 I worked as an IT supporter in a large hospital before I worked as a system administrator at a bank. I have been with Komax AG as an IT system engineer since 2012 and as an IT operation engineer since 2020. Here my task was not only the installation of server systems under Microsoft but also the administration of various software products. My area of
responsibility also included user registration, group policy and registering the server in the AD In the last two years I've mostly been monitoring the systems with PRTG. I also administered the ITSM, whereby I also administered the license management. Also i worked as SQL Server Administrator. Gerhard Weiss
