Having grown up in the 4th generation of a family-run hotel business, I am no stranger to the hotel industry in general, hospitality and a high level of service in particular.
I am a hardworking and reliable individual with strong endurance. Offering Teamworking, attention and the eager to learn. Furthermore I am highly organized, proactive and punctual with team-oriented mentality.
I actively supported our national and international event team with full commitment at various events. As part of the Crew Control Team, I was co-responsible for several FK Austria matches, the Formula 1 Grand Prix in the Netherlands, Japan, Qatar, Austin, and Abu Dhabi, the ACTS Major Beach Volleyball Tournament in Vienna, and the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel.
During this time I coordinated national assignments for part-time event catering staff, aligning staffing needs with budget managers. Managed on-site staff coordination, conducted employee interviews, and maintained service pool. Collaborated with Staff Travel on logistics, including travel info, room assignments, and transport. Created digital schedules for national events, worked closely with staffing agencies, and handled travel expense reports.
During my two months of internship I learned basic things that go on in a hotel-kitchen, such as mealpreperation, hygienic standards and creating new and innovative dishes. I even had the chance to fully operate an own post called the gardemanger in the kitchen by my self during service-time. Furthermore I learnt how a long work day really feels like and foremost I got the chance to learn how to improvise and find solutions within seconds.
Since then I return to the kitchen on a yearly basis during my vacations to maintain a certain relationship with work while I am finishing my studies at EHL.
During my internship, I was able to develop my ability to talk to customers and had the chance to learn the service standards of a five-star hotel. Additionally, I have been responsible for up to 7 tables on my own station, where I provided wine and food service to a highly demanding clientele.
On the construction site, the days are long and exhausting. I learned what physical work means and was able to improve my Italian language skills.
During this internship I had the opportunity to explore three different areas in the hotel industry and understand what it takes to keep a hotel running.
On this trip, organized by my school at the time, we traveled to Romania where we helped to build a roof for a school. We first removed the old roof and started to build a new one step by step.
This project taught me to appreciate what I have and to take nothing for granted.
During this summer job I got to know how hotels get their drinks and saw what kind of quantities big hotels need.
This job was my first taste of what working in the industry is like. I helped produce cheese with the cheesemaster in the traditional manner by hand and helped the service team as a food runner.
