Maëli Gay

I am a Swiss student who moved to London to study criminology. Through my criminology studies, I am developing critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of social issues. Sport has always played an important part in my life. Competitive by nature, I was part of a gymnastics team and later competed at an international level in horse riding. Through these experiences, I learned how to manage my time and the principles of teamwork.

LA GAMBADE - Equestrian Center - Geneva, Switzerland  07/2021 & 07/2022 & 07/2023

This experience allowed me to enhance my organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines effectively. I contributed to the preparation of regional competitions and provided support during the events.

AGE UK - Walking aide - London, United Kingdom 01/2025 - 05/2025

I provided walking assistance and companionship to an elderly woman who was unable to go out independently.

AMBER ALERT EUROPE - International Cold Case Analysis Project - 10/2025 - Present

Analysing unresolved cases of missing  children by conducting open-source research and reviewing case information in collaboration with international teams.

Sports

Gymnastic - Finished vice champions at the France championship in Teamgym in 2018.

Horse Riding - Participated in the Swiss championship with my pony and finished 2nd in the year ranking, in our category. Competed in international competitions with my horse with some victories.

Swimming - Coming to London, I started swimming again in my own time. I did couples of open water swimming competitions.

Running - Started running early 2025 and did a half-marathon later in the year. I love going to Run club to meet new people while doing a sport I like.
