Played a central role in implementing, enhancing and deploying the centralized IFRS 17 RCP reporting tool, ensuring consistent reporting across multiple regions:

• Developed and implemented the risk and business control framework as well as the change management processes for the local IFRS 17 process
• Advised local CFOs and Chief Actuaries on governance and regulatory topics, ensuring alignment with group policies
• Led cross-functional teams to design automated business controls, strengthening audit readiness and enterprise risk oversight.

Mariana joined EY as a Senior Consultant in February 2019 and since then she has grown to be a Senior Manager leading very interesting projects:

• Led actuarial audits and regulatory reviews for major insurers, ensuring compliance with FINMA and IFRS requirements. As a highlight, she managed the first-year actuarial audit for one of the largest insurance group based in CH, coordinating cross-functional teams under tight regulatory timelines
• Challenged technical risk models during SST IMAP review, directly advising executives on risk adequacy and ensuring FINMA compliance.
• Presented risk insights and compliance strategies to the board, strengthening governance frameworks.
• Built and managed high-performing teams, driving quality control and client satisfaction in risk and compliance projects.

• Managed M&A projects across all workstreams (buy-side and sell-side) for insurers, embedding risk assessment and governance across actuarial, finance, and operations workstreams.
• Conducted Solvency II gap analyses and contributed to ORSA governance, embedding contingency planning, recovery measures, and compliance frameworks into enterprise risk management.

• Developed and implemented enterprise-wide risk management frameworks for SME loan guarantees.
• Advised government executives on strategic risk decisions, ensuring compliance with national regulations.
