In my current role, I have expanded on my previous hospitality duties by taking on additional leadership and operational responsibilities. I coordinate daily tasks and support the smooth running of shifts ensuring the team works efficiently and delivers a consistent standard of service. I work closely with the management team, assisting with operational tasks to help improve department efficiency. Alongside my Food & Beverage responsibilities I occasionally support tasks in other areas of the hotel which has helped give me a valuable insight into wider hotel operations. Through these duties, I contribute to maintaining high service standards while gaining experience that will help support my progression into hotel management.
In this role, I contributed to a positive dining experience by delivering prompt and efficient service as well as maintaining high levels of standards even during the busiest periods. I remained calm and focused throughout busy dinner rushes ensuring guests received attentive and consistent service. By developing effective upselling techniques for beverages such as wine through training courses such as WSET Level 1, this role strengthened my ability to perform under pressure and laid the foundation for my progression into a leadership position.
In this role, I delivered a high standard of customer service by warmly engaging with guests, promptly responding to queries and ensuring all requests were handled efficiently. I maintained a strong knowledge of the menu to take accurate orders and support guests with dietary requirements. During peak times I worked quickly and calmly, clearing tables promptly to reduce wait times and keep the service running smoothly. I maintained a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene by regularly sanitising work and dining areas throughout each shift. Through consistent attention to detail and a positive attitude under pressure I helped to create a welcoming dining environment that enhanced guest satisfaction and restaurant performance.
In this role, I supported the smooth daily operation of the salon by stocking and organising styling stations, sterilising equipment, preparing clients for their treatments and delivering them refreshments. I welcomed clients warmly and ensured they felt comfortable throughout their visit providing attentive customer service at all times. I also helped manage the reception area which in turn meant that i was reducing wait times where possible. During busy periods I maintained calm and worked efficiently to keep the salon running smoothly.
