Experienced, committed, and resilient with a sense of perspective; communicator, motivator, and a problem solver; I value result-based management and accountability both to supervisors and subordinates and I know how to bring a project to fruition.
An experience gained through geographical mobility within the UN system as well as professional mobility with some other international organizations like the ICRC and the ICDO. At UNON, I often served as TL and STL and pioneered in testing recently introduced RSI and appraising its impact and efficiency within the Business Continuity Plan. At UNOG change was embraced with yet another approach that certainly increased resilience but also revealed vulnerabilities.
As a former President of UNOG ISA elected for 2 years, I had invested in the merit of partnership, transparency and accountability. Accomplishments in volunteer coordination were recognized and the soft managerial skills were demonstrated in the exercise of the mandate mainly by coordination, bringing up consensus, judgement and leadership.
With an MA in English Literature and Civilization, another in Translation and a third in Conflictology, I remain determined to invest in continuous learning. Actively involved in screening, training, and evaluation of associate interpreters, I know how to recognize and unleash potential.
Constructively disengaged without negligence to teamwork, open to dialogue without fear of criticism, I seek this promotion as a mandate and a responsibility to keep providing quality interpretation and perform other related duties.
