Rutendo is a young dedicated project and operations young intern working with IMPACT Initiatives currently. She has just over 1 year functional experience in international organizations and the humanitarian space. I have field experience volunteering for 1 year working with Rotaract South Africa working with migrants in the Eastern Cape Plantations. I currently support Regional Coordinators and Country Offices on project activities, capacity building, monitor work plans, organize workshops, analyze policies and evaluate programs implementing various approaches and guidance in migration country programs.

  • Led the CSP program management and coordination at the global level, from the development of the strategy to the roll out of the guidance, to support CCs and CRs in operationalizing country programs.
  • Developed courses and delivered training sessions as part of capacity building and knowledge sharing on Articulate 360 Storyline, focused on country-contextualized methodologies and understanding different protection responses.
  • Created an online CSP tracker, which I then embedded onto our intranet SharePoint, to allow centralized but protected access to project data.
  • Monitored and analyzed 31 country planning documents using the CSP tracker, overseeing the process from country strategy kick-off meetings to stakeholder engagement, activity planning, and cost determination, while identifying research gaps requiring funding.
  • Assisted in the creation of a surge roster on Microsoft Forms, based on the needs of countries as per the CSP tracker. Holding weekly briefings and deploying people as part of internal mobility to priority contexts.

  • Contributed to the preparation of reports for UNESCO, GB, KOICA, and NORAD, including drafting the Global Accelerator One Program Report, a Technical Meeting Output Report, Terms of Reference (TORs) for consultants, and a Policy Brief on Recommendation 208.
  • Assisted in monitoring and analyzing migration data using ILO Stats, focusing on integrating data on migrants with disabilities, specifically regarding their access to informal employment and advanced-level education.
  • Contributed to the development of the Blended Digitalization manual, providing guidance to field delegations on operationalizing blended learning approaches within Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.
  • Developed and delivered an internal capacity-building course on 360 Rise, training 50+ colleagues at the Governing Body on utilizing virtual reality in high-stakes contexts, such as Jordan. Collaborated with Body Swaps and an external provider to create the software and course content.
  • Managed the internal information repository, ensuring accurate filing and storage of secretariat meetings within the SKILLS Branch for easy access and reference.
  • Organized a global webinar on the application of Branch standards, including research on Recommendation 208 and Recommendation 195. Presented findings to over 100 attendees and created promotional materials using Canva, sharing them across various communication platforms.
