  • Lead IOE’s policy portfolios, advocating for business-friendly policies on skills, education, AI, climate change, migration, recruitment, and platform economy.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders globally, including private companies, public authorities (Ministry of Labour/Employment and Foreign Affairs, European Commission), UN (Geneva and NY) and its agencies (ILO, OECD, IOM, World Bank, UNDP, UNESCO), industry associations (BusinessEurope, BIAC, and national employers’ organizations in 140 countries), NGOs, as well as Global Trade Unions.
  • Draft and contribute to IOE briefs and positions. Advocate for and shape policies on behalf of the private sector through direct lobbying with governments at global and regional levels.
  • Negotiate with workers and governments global standards on employments at the International Labour Organisation, including the current negotiations of a Convention on the Platform Economy. Build trust and gain political support.
  • Intervene on panels on behalf of IOE and its members representing business/employers’ positions – development of strong public speaking skills
  • Support the delivery of IOE Corporate Partner Programme - contributed to gaining 5 new members in two years.
