I am a dedicated researcher with broad interests in psychology, primarily focusing on neuro-cognitive and evolutionary perspectives. Through my experience in multiple research labs, I have investigated working memory, multisensory integration, executive functions, and attention using methods such as neuropsychological testing, eye-tracking, and fNIRS. I have also led a research examining how eating habits and personality structures relate to behavior.
I applied various neuro-psychological tests such as stroop, enhanced-cued recall etc. used to assess working memory, executive functions, attention and depression to assess cognitive abilities of participants.
I contributed to the establishment of the laboratory, gained knowledge on the methodologies and functioning of fNIRS and eye tracking research, and assisted in refining the research ideas related to fNIRS and eye-tracking during my exchange semester in Poland.
We created research team for McGurk effect in Turkey with the professor in whose lab I worked in Poland during my exchange semester. Currently, we are doing a research that examines the properties of the McGurk effect.
I was the lead researcher in a research that investigated the relationships between eating habits, eating behaviors and personality structures funded by TUBITAK research grant. I have organized the research and designed the experiment with the help of my group members. Our student research group and I have successfully completed the research.
I expanded my knowledge on the effects of working memory load and attentional zoom on attention by
-reviewing the literature in order to understand the theoretical basis of the research and
-working hands on by performing data collection in the research that investigated the visual short term memory load on attention / distractor interference.
I contacted professors and psychologists and organized extracurricular activities related to academic subjects with them, enriching the overall educational experience for students.
I recruited participants for a research that investigates the mother and child's interaction and relationship and observed data collection of the research.
